Wrapped Up

It's all in the can. You read that right. All the principle photography, establishing shots, additional photography, and insert shots have all been completed. 20 months of time, money, and effort have been realized in a body of footage that we are assembling into revisions.
So here is where I get down on one of my knees. Thank you to all of the actors and crew members, for without you this would not have been possible. I could never have done it alone, nor even attempted to do so. You folks encouraged me and cheered me on every step of the way, and I thank you again for it. You should be proud of the work you have put in and the commitment that were beginning to see through to the end.
I can't describe the weight that is beginning to lift off my shoulders. It's probably what Atlas felt like when Heracles took on the sky for a while. Agh . . . never mind that reference. Just take my word for it, I'm feeling a bit relieved. Now it's just a matter of time before all that footage is strung out and a film is culled from the work product.
So as Ted and I (and the rest of the production staff for that matter) scrounge though all the revisions footage, I�m resting a bit easier. Editing doesn�t require actors and crewmembers to show up at a location. That part is done. No more calling, emailing, pleading, or begging people to show up.
Now there�s just that small problem of editing a final cut. And Atlas puts the sky back on his shoulders once again.
