Full Speed Ahead posted by James on 01.17.05
We're full speed ahead with revisions in 2005. We have finalized the look for the films introduction. This is key to the tone and pace of the narrative of revisions. It was a manner of maintaining the film's visual style and incorporating the text without losing the pace. The intro sequence was conceived after production began and was an amorphous concept that may not have even made it into the film, had it not developed as well as it did.
That was a big boost to push us though the time code, frame-by-frame and re-watching that editing has put us through. Nothing is worse that losing objectivity on edits because you've logging in so many hours in front of a monitor. That's the nature of the beast, I guess.
In addition to postproduction work, soon we will be gathering a test audience to view and evaluate the film before we give it the stamp of approval. This is just one of some of the things we have in store in beginning of 2005.
