Conceptualizing Finality

Our monthly newsletter issue has just gone out, so if you're not on the mailing list you'll want to sign up via the box in the top right-hand corner of the website.

This month's issue featured brief updates from James, Scott, and myself. We each touched on our different roles in the editing process of revisions and offered some general thoughts about it. One common thread: We all talked about the finality of the work we are currently doing. After months of editing around temporary graphics, audio, and music, we are starting to create and insert the real stuff. The edit will be tweaked to accommodate the new elements, and that will establish the final pace and emotion of the film. I speak personally when I say it is almost surreal to be in this place of realization after long conceptualizing and theorizing about how and why to make it happen.

This is starting to be quite fun again.
