Editing in the Recording Studio posted by AT on 03.25.05
Just last night local voice-over specialist (and musician) Joanna Jahn came down to the recording studio to record her parts as the campus radio DJ in revisions. The DJ helps perpetuate main character Nate's ongoing adventures with the New York Times. Joanna was absolutely awesome as an upbeat yet curious media personality interested in the gab-of-the-day on campus. You'll hear her parts periodically throughout the film. (Feel free to visit Joanna's personal website, www.joannajahn.com, or her band's website as well, www.steelingdan.com.)
And that is about what we've been up to for the last short while at SPFrecording. The next necessary step in tightening up the rough edit is various voice-over bits. Slowly, with their implementation into the edit, scenes go a little smoother and make a little more sense. Audio and music will be the primary focus for a short while here, and then it's on to some of the more final elements.
We'll keep you updated!
