And so it is, that with each passing day revisions becomes that much more complete and we, the production staff, breathe just a little bit easier.
Can I tell you how bad we've needed production assistants? The largest bits of work and the smallest bits of work fall entirely on our laps. And while I have personally been frustrated at times that I have to attend to petty tasks when some of the more important film elements of post-production remain idle, all is required to see the completion of revisions, thus it is all a priority.
So with that said, every day I find myself doing some form of work for this dang-near-done movie. We have a couple of small music things left to do and a few more audio tricks and treats, but that is about it. Now of course those "couple" and "few" things actually equate to many hours of work, still, hence the need (or "wish," in this case) for some help. I have found that I feel rather guilty if/when I don't get a significant amount of work done each day; revisions, after all, needed to be done... well, yesterday. We're almost there, though!
Last week we met with a good friend of mine, Hashbrown (real name: Brad), who will be overseeing all of the final audio mastering for revisions. Hashbrown has indeed a hefty load of work ahead of him, that is putting the different pieces of the film's audio mix into the very final format that will be presented and heard upon screenings.
And so I am essentially the sole responsible party for the now slightly overdue newsletter featuring the second edition list of revisions soundtrack contributors. I will have it out soon, and of course we'll keep posting bits here on the website. So check back often!
