Entering MySpace posted by Scott on 03.07.06
As we wrap up post-production on revisions, we are looking for new ways to "get the word out" about our film. Promotion can be difficult, especially when you are working with a nonexistent budget like we are. In the past, we've held concerts featuring artists on our soundtrack, handed out flyers talking about the film, hosted parties to show our trailers, taken out small ads on a few select websites, and generally just chatted folks up about the project. Lately, we've decided to try something new. We've entered the realm of MySpace.
A few days ago I learned that MySpace has a category specifically for filmmakers. I knew that many recording artists have used this popular website to network with friends and peers, but was unaware that they also catered to the film arts. We hope that this will be an opportunity for us to network with the filmmaking community on the 'net, as well as be one additional way for us to let you know about our pending showing schedule. There will also certainly be opportunities to upload interesting and unique information for you to peruse, so make sure to check in on us from time to time, and if you are a member click the little button on our page to add us a a "friend." We like to be friends.
