The Ideas & Themes of "revisions"

We’re back. The days of lax posting are over, and the time to ramp up the production updates has begun. We all are working on the final version of revisions in a variety of ways. To re-engage those of you to the film, revisions, I offer to you weekly (at least) updates on the production and concept behind this film project.

The idea of revisions
For me, revisions has always been about the setting of college, and less about a specific time or place. It was always my intent to have the university in the film represent the universal college experience. I wanted viewers to recognize the feeling of a college setting without being concerned about where the particular college is located.

The themes in revisions
This film doesn’t portray typical college movie fare. revisions deals with character (in the Hellenistic sense), isolation, achievement and relationships—how they either improve or degrade with choices made during college tenure.

So, poke around the revisions site, watch the trailers and check back as we push this project through to completion.
